Title: Deep Insight into Bioinformatics Resources
Abstract:
In the past decades, a variety of publicly accessible biological data repositories and resources have been developed. However, most of them remain scattered throughout the Internet and within a vast amount of literatures. We developed an automatic approach to collect, curate and navigate through a large list of different tools and databases, enabling researchers to quickly find the appropriate tools or databases for their specific purpose. Comprehensive geographical and statistical analysis of these resources were conducted to reveal their bibliotic features, distribution, life span, and author collaboration as well as the impact of the respective countries, journals and years.
Moreover, many databases are constructed via manual curation of released data from the literature. However, it is not easy for curators of these databases to keep up with the publication explosion in the related field. More sophisticated automated literature mining tools can simplify database management and provide researchers with quick access to the latest published reports. We proposed a reliable and efficient pipeline-based mining framework that automatically extracts information from PubMed abstract based on deep learning models.
