Title: Sombor index and its applications in network science
Abstract:
The concept of Sombor index was recently introduced by Gutman in the chemical graph theory. It is a vertex-degree-based topological index and is pertinent to the sum of the square of degrees of each edge. In this talk, we present novel lower and upper bounds on the Sombor index of graphs by using some graph parameters. We discuss several relations on Sombor index with the first and second Zagreb indices of graphs. Sombor index can also be used as a network traffic efficiency metric and characterizes its Gromov geometric properties. We explore some rudimentary results in this direction.
