| Biography: She was born in 1966 in Alma-Ata, USSR.In 1989 she graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Tomsk State University with the degree in Mathematics (M.Sc-level).From 1992 to 1996 she was a post-graduate student (Probability and Statistics) and research assistant of the Department of Mathematics at the Birobidjan Pepagogical Institute (Birobidjan, Russia).In 1998 she defended the Candidate (Ph.D.) thesis at the Tomsk State University (Russia) “An Application the theory of stochastic differential equations for modelling of stochastic system with invariant functions”. After that she worked at different academic position in the educational institutions of the Russian Far East (the Birobidjan Pepagogical Institute (Birobidjan), the Pacific State University (Khabarovsk); the Nord-Eastern Federal University and the Far Eastern State Transport University (Khabarovsk). General academic interests of Elena Karachanskaya lie within the field of the probability and stochastic processes, stochastic differential equations and analysis, optimization with applications to control problem with Probability 1, stochastic systems with invariant. From 1998 she has published 2 monographs and more than 30 science works. | |
